Regional Ardeche Six Pack (Limited Availability)
The Ardèche, a region located just west of the Rhone Valley, is named after the Ardèche River (a tributary of the Rhone) where you'll find scenic valleys carved throughout the region, and a variety of soil types, from granite-based soils in the western part (perfect for Gamay) to limestone and sandstone further east and south. The winemakers of this region are experimental champions of their local grape varietals where Grenache, Syrah and Viognier are the norm and several other varieties not typically associated with the Rhone. As the varieties are sometimes unexpected, the winemaking styles are as well. These Ardèche producers are not pressured by stylistic demands, so their spirit for originality is strong. We celebrate these winemakers with a regional 6-pack to highlight their vineyards and winemaking methods.
